The committee’s membership is composed of parents, staff, and community members. During the ELAC meetings, members are required to receive training and materials to assist in carrying out their legal responsibilities, which include advisement to the following:
• School Site Council on the development of the SPSA
• Principal and staff on the school’s program for English Learners/Multilingual Students
• District level committee on the annual revision of the LCAP
Members of the ELAC must also have the opportunity to elect representatives to attend the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC).
La membresía del comité está compuesta por padres, personal y miembros de la comunidad. Durante las reuniones de ELAC, los miembros deben recibir capacitación y materiales para ayudar en el desempeño de sus responsabilidades legales, que incluyen asesoramiento para lo siguiente:
• Consejo del Sitio Escolar sobre el desarrollo de la SPSA
• Director y personal del programa de la escuela para estudiantes de inglés/estudiantes multilingües
• Comité de nivel de distrito sobre la revisión anual de la LCAP
Los miembros del ELAC también deben tener la oportunidad de elegir representantes para asistir al Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés de Distrito (DELAC).
